Out-of-Bounds Read in Zlmediakit (CVE-2026-35203)

Summary

Vulnerability in Zlmediakit (CVE-2026-35203). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.

Original description

The description as published by the source.

ZLMediaKit is a streaming media service framework. the VP9 RTP payload parser in ext-codec/VP9Rtp.cpp reads multiple fields from the RTP payload based on flag bits in the first byte, without verifying that sufficient data exists in the buffer. A crafted VP9 RTP packet with a 1-byte payload (0xFF, all flags set) causes the parser to read past the end of the allocated buffer, resulting in a heap-buffer-overflow. This vulnerability is fixed with commit 435dcbcbbf700fd63b2ca9eac6cef3b5ea75169d.

Response actions

Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order

  1. 1
    Identify exposure identify
    grep -r 'Zlmediakit' . | grep -v node_modules

    リポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で Zlmediakit を grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。

  2. 2
    Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in production

    パッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
