SSRF (Server-Side Request Forgery) in HTMLy (CVE-2026-57940)
Summary
SSRF in HTMLy (CVE-2026-57940). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
HTMLy 3.1.1 contains a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the RSS feed import functionality. The function get_feed() in system/admin/admin.php passes user-supplied $feed_url directly to file_get_contents() without any validation. An authenticated attacker with administrative privileges can exploit this by entering a crafted URL (e.g., http://dnslog.example.com, file:///etc/passwd, or http://169.254.169.254 in cloud contexts) via Tools -> Import RSS. The server will then make a request to the attacker-controlled target.

Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'HTMLy' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
HTMLyを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
