Path Traversal in draw.io (CVE-2026-63416)
Summary
Path traversal in draw.io (CVE-2026-63416). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
draw.io is a configurable diagramming and whiteboarding application. Prior to version 30.2.7, src/main/java/com/mxgraph/online/ExportProxyServlet.java uses request.getPathInfo() to build a proxyPath and appends it directly to EXPORT_URL without rejecting dot segments or confirming that the normalized destination remains under the configured export path. An unauthenticated request containing traversal segments can therefore address unintended routes on the internal export server, and the servlet forwards all request headers and the request body to that destination, allowing arbitrary header injection. Depending on the export service configuration, exploitation can expose administration, debugging, health, or configuration endpoints and can permit unintended internal actions. This issue is fixed in version 30.2.7.

CVE-2026-63416 (draw.io) — CWE-22 / CVSS v3 3.7
Attack vector: remote (network-reachable) / unauthenticated / no user interaction
Plan: 1) Audit SBOM/dependencies, 2) Stage→prod upgrade, 3) Add WAF/proxy monitoring on affected endpoints, 4) Hunt IOCs in logs.
Refs: see the GHSA / vendor advisory / patched release linked on this page.
Path traversal (CWE-22) exists in draw.io.
Check the vendor advisory for the affected versions of draw.io.
Severity: Low (CVSS 3.7/10). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.
Update to the patched release per vendor advisory.
Until the patch is applied: disable the affected feature, apply WAF rules, or restrict access via network ACLs.
Search webserver/proxy logs for unusual request patterns matching this CVE's known IOCs. Run grep -r 'draw.io' . against your dependency files (package-lock.json, requirements.txt, go.sum) to find affected services.

-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'draw.io' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
draw.ioを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
