Path Traversal in Servor (CVE-2021-48011)
Summary
Path traversal in Servor (CVE-2021-48011). Confidential information can be exposed externally.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
Servor 1.0.0 through 4.0.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to escape the served root by sending URL-encoded dot segments. Attackers can send %2e%2e/ sequences, which decodeURI() decodes before path.join() in serveStaticFile and serveDirectoryListing, to read arbitrary files and list directories outside the root.

-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Servor' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
Servorを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
