Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2022-48947)
Summary
Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2022-48947). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure. Mitigation: upgrade to 4.9.337, 4.14.303, 4.19.270, 5.4.229, 5.10.161, 5.15.85, 6.0.15 or later.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix u8 overflow
By keep sending L2CAP_CONF_REQ packets, chan->num_conf_rsp increases
multiple times and eventually it will wrap around the maximum number
(i.e., 255).
This patch prevents this by adding a boundary check with
L2CAP_MAX_CONF_RSP

Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Kernel' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
2Apply patch patch
-
3Post-deployment verification verify
