Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2022-49151)
Summary
Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2022-49151). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure. Mitigation: upgrade to 4.14.276, 4.19.238, 5.4.189, 5.10.110, 5.15.33, 5.16.19, 5.17.2 or later.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
can: mcba_usb: properly check endpoint type
Syzbot reported warning in usb_submit_urb() which is caused by wrong
endpoint type. We should check that in endpoint is actually present to
prevent this warning.
Found pipes are now saved to struct mcba_priv and code uses them
directly instead of making pipes in place.
Fail log:

Search webserver/proxy logs for unusual request patterns matching this CVE's known IOCs. Run grep -r 'Kernel' . against your dependency files (package-lock.json, requirements.txt, go.sum) to find affected services.
Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Kernel' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
2Apply patch patch
-
3Post-deployment verification verify
