Summary
Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2023-54051). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure. Mitigation: upgrade to 4.14.324, 4.19.293, 5.4.255, 5.10.192, 5.15.128, 6.1.47, 6.4.12 or later.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: do not allow gso_size to be set to GSO_BY_FRAGS
One missing check in virtio_net_hdr_to_skb() allowed
syzbot to crash kernels again [1]
Do not allow gso_size to be set to GSO_BY_FRAGS (0xffff),
because this magic value is used by the kernel.

Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Kernel' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
2Apply patch patch
-
3Post-deployment verification verify
