Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2024-35959)
Summary
Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2024-35959). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure. Mitigation: upgrade to 6.1.87, 6.6.28, 6.8.7 or later.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mlx5e: Fix mlx5e_priv_init() cleanup flow
When mlx5e_priv_init() fails, the cleanup flow calls mlx5e_selq_cleanup which
calls mlx5e_selq_apply() that assures that the priv->state_lock is held using
lockdep_is_held().
Acquire the state_lock in mlx5e_selq_cleanup().

Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Kernel' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
2Apply patch patch
-
3Post-deployment verification verify
