Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2024-46715)
Summary
Vulnerability in Kernel (CVE-2024-46715). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure. Mitigation: upgrade to 5.15.203, 6.1.109, 6.6.50, 6.10.9 or later.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
driver: iio: add missing checks on iio_info's callback access
Some callbacks from iio_info structure are accessed without any check, so
if a driver doesn't implement them trying to access the corresponding
sysfs entries produce a kernel oops such as:

Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Kernel' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
2Apply patch patch
-
3Post-deployment verification verify
