SSRF (Server-Side Request Forgery) in PDFMathTranslate (CVE-2026-108554)

Summary

SSRF in PDFMathTranslate (CVE-2026-108554). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.

Original description

The description as published by the source.

PDFMathTranslate (pdf2zh) through 1.9.11 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to make the server fetch arbitrary URLs via the Link input. The translate_file handler passes user URLs to download_with_limit without scheme or address validation, letting attackers reach internal services and cloud metadata endpoints and retrieve returned PDFs.

Response actions

Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order

  1. 1
    Identify exposure identify
    grep -r 'PDFMathTranslate' . | grep -v node_modules

  2. 2
    Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in production
