Summary
Authentication bypass in Webmail (CVE-2026-34834). Data can be tampered with by attackers.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
Bulwark Webmail is a self-hosted webmail client for Stalwart Mail Server. Prior to version 1.4.10, the verifyIdentity() function contained logic that returned true if no session cookies were present. This allowed unauthenticated attackers to bypass security checks and access/modify user settings via the /api/settings endpoint by providing arbitrary headers. This issue has been patched in version 1.4.10.

-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Webmail' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
Webmailを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
