Vulnerability in Netherman Portal del Hermano (CVE-2026-53997)

Summary

Vulnerability in Netherman Portal del Hermano (CVE-2026-53997). Confidential information can be exposed externally. Exploitable via POST /password/create-access.

Original description

The description as published by the source.

Netherman Portal del Hermano (portaldelhermano.es) before 2026-10-06 contains a broken authentication vulnerability in its password-recovery flow at the POST /password/create-access and POST /password/email endpoints, allowing unauthenticated attackers to take over any member account across all tenants by exploiting the lack of rate limiting and distinct error messages that act as oracles for each of the four identity-verification factors (DNI, date of birth, phone number, last four IBAN digits). Attackers can confirm the DNI via the oracle, brute-force the date of birth and IBAN digits, obtain the phone number through open-source intelligence, then submit an attacker-controlled email field so the password reset link is delivered to them, enabling full account takeover including profile data, full IBAN, and fiscal documents.

Response actions

Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order

  1. 1
    Identify exposure identify
    Audit SBOM/dependencies for affected components.

資産台帳・SBOM・依存マニフェストで Netherman Portal del Hermano を使っているサービスとバージョンを洗い出す。

  2. 2
Hunt for indicators of compromise detect
    grep 'POST /password/create-access' /var/log/nginx/access.log | grep -E '(unusual_payload|sqli_pattern)'

    アクセスログで POST /password/create-access への異常なリクエスト (不正な認証ヘッダ・SQLメタ文字)を過去 30〜90日分捜索。WAF/SIEM があれば該当パスのアラート発火履歴を確認。

  3. 3
    Post-deployment verification verify
Replay attack against POST /password/create-access on staging to confirm patch closes the vector

    パッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番では Step 2 と同じログクエリでアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
