Vulnerability in Elide (CVE-2026-57954)

Summary

Vulnerability in Elide (CVE-2026-57954). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.

Original description

The description as published by the source.

Elide through 7.1.17 fails to enforce @ReadPermission on client-supplied sort expressions in SortingImpl.getValidSortingRules, allowing attackers to sort collections by forbidden fields. Attackers can infer hidden field values through row ordering analysis, leaking relative field ordering across all rows via both JSON:API and GraphQL read paths.

Response actions

Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order

  1. 1
    Identify exposure identify
    grep -r 'Elide' . | grep -v node_modules

  2. 2
    Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in production
