Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in RAGFlow (CVE-2026-58579)
Summary
Cross-site scripting in RAGFlow (CVE-2026-58579). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
RAGFlow before 0.26.3 stores an agent pipeline (DSL) node name without sanitization: the agent update endpoint normalizes the submitted DSL via normalize_dsl, which only performs JSON serialization validation and preserves the node name verbatim. The dataflow-result web UI then renders that name into the "Rerun from current step" confirmation modal via dangerouslySetInnerHTML, and the i18next configuration sets escapeValue:false, so the value is inserted into the DOM without HTML encoding. An authenticated workspace user who can create or edit an agent can inject arbitrary JavaScript that executes in the session of another workspace member who opens the dataflow result and clicks rerun, enabling session/token theft and account takeover across the user trust boundary.

CVE-2026-58579 (RAGFlow) — CWE-79 / CVSS v3 5.4
Attack vector: remote (network-reachable)
Plan: 1) Audit SBOM/dependencies, 2) Stage→prod upgrade, 3) Add WAF/proxy monitoring on affected endpoints, 4) Hunt IOCs in logs.
Refs: see the GHSA / vendor advisory / patched release linked on this page.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) (CWE-79) exists in RAGFlow.
Check the vendor advisory for the affected versions of RAGFlow.
Severity: Medium (CVSS 5.4/10). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.
Update to the patched release per vendor advisory.
Until the patch is applied: disable the affected feature, apply WAF rules, or restrict access via network ACLs.
Search webserver/proxy logs for unusual request patterns matching this CVE's known IOCs. Run grep -r 'RAGFlow' . against your dependency files (package-lock.json, requirements.txt, go.sum) to find affected services.
Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'RAGFlow' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
RAGFlowを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
