CVE-2026-61835 high CVSS 7.7

SSRF (Server-Side Request Forgery) in directus (CVE-2026-61835)

Summary

SSRF in directus (CVE-2026-61835). Confidential information can be exposed externally. Exploitable via IMPORT_IP_DENY_LIST. Mitigation: upgrade to 12.0.0 or later.

Original description

The description as published by the source.

Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Prior to 12.0.0, the SSRF protection on Directus's file-import-from-URL feature can be bypassed using the address 0.0.0.0 because api/src/request/is-denied-ip.ts treats 0.0.0.0 as a keyword for local interfaces but never blocks the literal address itself. On Linux and macOS, connecting to 0.0.0.0 reaches localhost, so an authenticated user with file-upload rights can make the server fetch internal services through the /files/import endpoint and retrieve the response as a downloadable file. This issue is fixed in version 12.0.0.

Response actions

Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order

  1. 1
    Identify exposure identify
    grep -r 'directus' . | grep -v node_modules

    リポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で directus を grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。

  2. 2
    Apply patch patch
    Upgrade directus to 12.0.0

    ステージング環境で 12.0.0 に上げて回帰テスト → 本番反映。回帰テストはアプリの主要ハッピーパスを含めること。

  3. 3
    Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in production

    パッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
