Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in LuCI (CVE-2026-61876)
Summary
Cross-site scripting in LuCI (CVE-2026-61876). Successful exploitation can lead to full system takeover.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
LuCI versions fail to properly encode DHCPv6 lease hostnames before rendering in status tables, allowing adjacent network attackers to inject HTML markup. Attackers can send a DHCPv6 Client FQDN containing script tags that execute in the administrator's browser when viewing DHCP lease pages.

Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'LuCI' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
LuCIを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
