SSRF (Server-Side Request Forgery) in Dendrite (CVE-2026-63096)
Summary
SSRF in Dendrite (CVE-2026-63096). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
Dendrite through 0.13.8 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to cause the server to open outbound TLS connections to arbitrary hosts and ports by supplying an unvalidated serverName parameter to the legacy media download endpoint. Attackers can exploit distinguishable error response classes and leaked internal IP addresses in error messages to perform blind port scanning and enumerate internal network topology.

Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Dendrite' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
Dendriteを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
