Vulnerability in openshift/console (CVE-2026-75886)

Summary

Vulnerability in openshift/console (CVE-2026-75886). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.

Original description

The description as published by the source.

A flaw was found in openshift/console. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit a misconfiguration in the CatalogdHandler, which lacks proper authentication, and the forwarding of the openshift-session-token cookie. This allows the attacker to send requests to the in-cluster catalogd service, leading to the disclosure of the internal operator-catalog index and providing a relay into the openshift-catalogd namespace.

Response actions

Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order

  1. 1
    Identify exposure identify
    grep -r 'openshift/console' . | grep -v node_modules

    リポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で openshift/console を grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。

  2. 2
    Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in production

    パッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
