SSRF (Server-Side Request Forgery) in UTMStack (CVE-2026-82044)

Summary

SSRF in UTMStack (CVE-2026-82044). Confidential information can be exposed externally. Exploitable via GET /api/generate-pdf-report..

Original description

The description as published by the source.

UTMStack before 11.2.16 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to make the server request arbitrary internal resources by supplying an unvalidated url parameter to the PdfService.downloadPdf() method exposed via GET /api/generate-pdf-report. Attackers can leverage this to force the web-pdf microservice to fetch internal backend endpoints, the OpenSearch cluster, or the cloud instance-metadata service, exposing sensitive internal data rendered into the returned PDF.

🔍 Detection

Search webserver/proxy logs for unusual GET /api/generate-pdf-report. requests with malformed payloads or SQL meta-characters. Run grep -r 'UTMStack' . against your dependency files (package-lock.json, requirements.txt, go.sum) to find affected services.

Response actions

Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order

  1. 1
    Identify exposure identify
    grep -r 'UTMStack' . | grep -v node_modules

    リポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で UTMStack を grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。

  2. 2
Hunt for indicators of compromise detect
    grep 'GET /api/generate-pdf-report.' /var/log/nginx/access.log | grep -E '(unusual_payload|sqli_pattern)'

    アクセスログで GET /api/generate-pdf-report. への異常なリクエスト (不正な認証ヘッダ・SQLメタ文字)を過去 30〜90日分捜索。WAF/SIEM があれば該当パスのアラート発火履歴を確認。

  3. 3
    Post-deployment verification verify
Replay attack against GET /api/generate-pdf-report. on staging to confirm patch closes the vector

    パッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番では Step 2 と同じログクエリでアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
