Authorization Flaw in Gitlab (CVE-2026-82632)
Summary
Vulnerability in Gitlab (CVE-2026-82632). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 18.9 before 19.2.8, 19.3 before 19.3.5, and 19.4 before 19.4.2 that, under certain conditions, could have allowed an authenticated user with a fine-grained Personal Access Token scoped only to user-boundary import permissions to import projects into group namespaces beyond the token's intended scope, due to incorrect authorization of the import target namespace.

Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'Gitlab' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
Gitlabを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
