Original description
The description as published by the source.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Fix double call to drm_sched_entity_fini() Call sequence of double call: pvr_context_destroy pvr_context_kill_queues pvr_queue_kill drm_sched_entity_destroy drm_sched_entity_fini // here pvr_context_put kref_put(..., pvr_context_release) pvr_context_destroy_queues pvr_queue_destroy drm_sched_entity_fini // here Call to drm_sched_entity_destroy() from pvr_context_kill_queues() calls drm_sched_entity_flush() + drm_sched_entity_fini(). drm_sched_entity_flush() ensures all pending jobs are completed and drm_sched_entity_fini() ensures no further submission is allowed as per expectation from pvr_context_kill_queues(). Double call to drm_sched_entity_fini() is misuse of the API so keep call only in pvr_context_create() failure path. Check the vendor advisory for the affected versions of linux.
Severity: ?. Successful exploitation can lead to full system takeover.
Update to 6.12.101-1.
Until the patch is applied: disable the affected feature, apply WAF rules, or restrict access via network ACLs.
Search webserver/proxy logs for unusual request patterns matching this CVE's known IOCs. Run grep -r 'linux' . against your dependency files (package-lock.json, requirements.txt, go.sum) to find affected services.
Response actions
Concrete steps and command examples for SOC/SRE teams to execute in order
-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'linux' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
linuxを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Apply patch patch
Upgrade linux to 6.12.101-1ステージング環境で 6.12.101-1 に上げて回帰テスト → 本番反映。回帰テストはアプリの主要ハッピーパスを含めること。
-
3Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
