Vulnerability in ruby-oauth (UBUNTU-CVE-2026-54605)
Summary
Vulnerability in ruby-oauth (UBUNTU-CVE-2026-54605). Risk of unauthorized operations or information disclosure. Exploitable via Authorization header.
Original description
The description as published by the source.
OAuth is a Ruby wrapper for the OAuth 1.0 and 1.0a protocols, providing clients and servers. From 0.5.5 to 1.1.5, OAuth::Consumer#token_request parses the raw Location header of a 300 to 399 redirect returned by the OAuth server and follows the redirect recursively, which can mutate the consumer's configuration and expose signed OAuth request metadata, including the Authorization header, to a cross-origin host. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.6.

-
1Identify exposure identify
grep -r 'ruby-oauth' . | grep -v node_modulesリポジトリと本番環境の依存ファイル (package-lock.json / requirements.txt / go.sum / Gemfile.lock 等) で
ruby-oauthを grep し、稼働しているサービス・バージョンを把握する。 -
2Post-deployment verification verify
Confirm patched version is live in productionパッチ適用後、ステージングで PoC または同等の悪用パターンを再現して脆弱性が閉じたことを確認。本番ではアクセスログ・WAF でアラート再発が無いか継続監視。
